Website Content Management (CM)

You want your website to be one you can tweak and change any time you like. New or revised content adds SEO value and search crawler bate.

Gone are the days (thank goodness) when you’d have to email an update request to your web development company and wait two weeks or more for it to be done.

Most websites these days, created using modern platforms such as Wordpress, Drupal, Joomla, Squarespace, Wix and so on, allow user content management. This means you can log in any time and make the changes yourself.

The problem for busy executives or business people such as you, doing so is an inefficient use of your time. Content management is essentially an admin job and your time is better spent on more strategic things.

Another issue is that all website content management platforms are different and some can be complicated. Despite what the marketing literature and TV adverts say, they are not as easy for those new to web design as they make out.

So, what’s the answer?

As part of my Written Content Plus range of services, I offer website Content Management on both a project and on-going basis. If you engage me to write your website content for you, it makes sense that you would also want me to content manage it too.

Despite it sounding like a complex task, the cost for website content management (depending on the scope and scale of the project) can often be less than you would imagine. This is because an experienced content manager can do the job quickly and efficiently.
